How to compare exam prep schools

The advertised price is rarely the complete price

The state's reference list has two parts: thirteen books you may carry into the exam room, and five you study at home but may not bring in. Questions are drawn from all eighteen. Both parts are listed here.

A package can appear less expensive simply because it contains fewer titles. The five study-only references are commonly sold separately, sometimes as “supplemental” or “additional” study materials. Adding them afterwards can put several hundred dollars back on the price.

Compare the title list, not the headline number. Ask what is included. Ask what is not. Then add up what a complete set costs at each school.

4. What happens if I do not pass? Obtain the conditions, not the headline. Ask what is refundable and what is not.
